Biography

Shiekazu Nagai is an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Mie university since 2010. He received a Ph.D. in engineering with experimental study of spin polarization of field-emitted electrons from surfaces of half-metal ferromagnets in 2011. He joined Max-Planck Institute of microstructure physics in 2012 as a guest researcher. His main research interests have been focused on developments of field electron and ion emitter and characterization of these by using field emission and ion microscope combined with a spin detector, an energy analyzer and a time of flight mass spectrometer.

Tentative title: Development of highly spin-polarized field emitter using Heusler alloy Co2MnGa
