Biography
Kyu Chang Park is a Professor in the Information Display Department of Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Korea. He received a B.Sc (1990) and Ph. D. (1997) in Department of Physics from Kyung Hee University.
He worked at Hyundai Electronics(Currently, SK Hynix) before he joined Department of Information Display at Kyung Hee University as an Assistance Professor in 2002. He set the corner stones for the new and interdisciplinary department in College of Sciences.
After joining as a faculty in the university he delved into fabrication and growth mechanism for carbon nanotubes for diverse vacuum nano-electronics applications. Especially he is interested in field emission display (FED), crystallization of amorphous materials, DUV and EUV lighting and electron beam manipulation for robust electron microscope and cold cathode driven X-ray sources.
He is an expert of cold cathode electron beam (C-beam) development and engineering and now he is specialized in C-beam irradiated extreme ultraviolet (EUV) generation which can compete currently available cumbersome laser produced plasma (LPP) based EUV production techniques. Also, focus on the development of glass sealed x-ray tubes with the C-beams and nano/micro focused x-ray microscopy.
In addition his contribution to the university is not limited on academic fields. He initiated Graduate School Innovation Program as a Chief Officer and in turn he is incumbent Dean in College of Sciences at Kyung Hee University.
